A community is only as strong as its most vulnerable populations. That's why SVdP focuses on alleviating the pain of poverty and promoting systemic change. Our goal for 2025 is to raise $20,000 for Mission Services Programs through online donations.
SVdP Focuses on Preventing Homelessness
St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) Appleton focuses on alleviating poverty and promoting systemic change in our community by providing our neighbors with resources they need to transform into thriving individuals and families. We also work towards preventing homelessness. Whether it's by providing store vouchers, gas cards, or rent assistance, we help our community members so they can maintain housing. We are committed to helping our neighbors in need and building a stronger community, but we need your support!
With the generous support of people like you, SVdP will be able to help many area neighbors to meet their basic needs.
- $800 for furnace repair for a family that is unable to afford this unexpected expense
- $500 will provide help with a security deposit for a family transitioning into stable housing
- $325 will help with child care expenses for a struggling working parent
- $200 utility bill assistance to keep a neighbor's lights on when times get tough
- $150 will provide a bed for a child who has been sleeping on the floor
- $75 to help an individual who can't afford their prescriptions or medical expenses
- $50 for warm clothing for a homeless neighbor
- $20 for a gas gift card for a struggling parent to get to and from their place of employment
