You have the power to brighten the season for a neighbor in need. The holidays can be a time of light, joy, and togetherness—but for some in our community, the season will be filled with uncertainty.

Many individuals and families face challenges such as keeping food on the table, paying rent, maintaining transportation, or staying warm through the winter. For those who face these challenges, this can be a season of worry rather than wonder. St. Vincent de Paul Society is committed to helping those who struggle by providing compassionate care, financial assistance, and access to essential resources.

Just this year, we provided financial help to Janine, a single mother, ensuring her family could keep a roof over their heads. Getting caught up on bills gave them a fresh start and a better future outcome. Your generosity can be the light that brings this kind of hope into the lives of neighbors like Janine and her children.

And there was the Hawkins family. When Mr. Hawkins sustained a head injury at work and worker’s compensation was caught in red tape, the family nearly lost their housing. A St. Vincent de Paul Vincentian volunteer responded with the compassion and financial help that kept the family housed.

Here are just a few ways your donation can make a real difference this Christmas:

  • $600 covers rent for a family experiencing financial hardship
  • $325 helps cover child care costs for a hardworking parent
  • $200 assists with a utility bill to keep a neighbor’s lights on
  • $100 helps an elderly neighbor afford prescriptions or medical care
  • $60 provides a kitchen table for a family to gather together
  • $25 supplies a gas card for a neighbor struggling to get to work

Will you help brighten the season for a neighbor in need? Every gift will be used where it is needed most to support our mission of bringing relief, stability, and hope to those who are struggling.
